Bio

After spending 13 years as an assistant in the HU men's tennis program, Peter Kitchen transitioned last fall to the women's program as an assistant under Coach Kreg Eckert. 

Kitchen brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the program. After an outstanding tennis career as a Forester where he was a four-time MCC All-Conference player and two-time NAIA All-District pick, Kitchen spent a year as an assistant for the program. He went on to log 12 more years of coaching tennis at Huntington North High School, one year as the girls’ coach and the remaining years as the boys’ coach.

Kitchen graduated from Huntington with a BS in Elementary Education in 1995. He is currently employed as a fourth grade teaching in Huntington and is again serving as the Huntington North High School boys' tennis coach. He is married to Elizabeth, also a Huntington alum, and together they have two children Clark and Carson.
