Bio
Danielle Dathe joins the Foresters as a graduate assistant while pursuing a master’s degree in Counseling after earning her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Indiana Tech. With more than six years of experience in the mental health field, Danielle brings a unique and invaluable perspective to the HU softball program.
In addition to her mental health work, Danielle currently serves at Ivy Tech in the Financial Aid office, where she provides resources and support to underprivileged students. She also has prior coaching experience at the youth level, further strengthening her ability to connect with and develop athletes.
As a former pitcher, Danielle now coaches those same areas while placing a major emphasis on encouragement, confidence-building and mental resilience. Her background allows her to support athletes not only in skill development, but also in managing the mental and emotional aspects of competitive performance.
Danielle is married and stays busy with her two young children, along with a lively home that includes dogs, cats and chickens. Outside of softball, she enjoys coaching her kids’ teams and crafting, passions that reflect her creativity and love for family and sports.
