Bio

Brady Averill joins the Foresters as a student assistant and is a freshman Business major at Huntington University. The son of head coach Tim Averill, Brady grew up around the game and brings both familiarity and enthusiasm to the HU softball program. A former corner infielder and pitcher at Huntington North High School, Brady enters the staff with a strong baseball foundation and a natural feel for the game of softball.

Brady will work closely with the infielders and hitters, focusing especially on hitter’s approach in the box. His analytical mindset and interest in data will help the program continue to grow its use of information-driven player development.

When he’s not on the softball field, Brady can usually be found in a tree stand or fishing in any body of water he can find, embracing the outdoors any chance he gets. His blend of baseball experience, analytical thinking and passion for the game makes him a valuable addition to the HU coaching staff.
