No. 12 HU Delivers Statement Victory at No. 16 Oakland City
OAKLAND CITY, Ind. - The No. 12 Huntington men's tennis team delivered a statement road victory Thursday afternoon, defeating No. 16 Oakland City University 4–1 in a nonconference matchup at the OCU Tennis Courts. It marks HU's third win over a Top-25 opponent.
Huntington secured the crucial doubles point and followed with a strong, balanced singles performance to claim the overall team win once Coach Poncio's crew clinched its fourth point. The final point came on court six where Juan Carrasco topped Luis Codoba in straight sets.
With the win, Huntington improves to 9–3 on the season, earning a signature result that will serve as momentum heading into conference play. Huntington begins Crossroads League action on Saturday against Indiana Wesleyan University with the match set to start at 11:00 a.m.
