Bio

Nick Potter, currently in his third year, joined the Forester athletic department as the men’s soccer head coach in the fall of 2024. 

Potter made an immediate impact in his debut season, leading Huntington to its first regular-season conference championship since 1989. Under his leadership, the Foresters earned an at-large bid to the NAIA National Tournament, while he was named Crossroads League Coach of the Year.

Over the last two seasons, his teams have produced eight All-Conference selections, an NAIA All-American, and 22 NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, reflecting success both on the field and in the classroom.

A seasoned coach with deep roots in the Fort Wayne soccer community, Potter brings more than two decades of experience across youth, amateur, semi-professional, and professional levels. He currently serves as head coach of 1927 SC in the Midwest Premier League and has held leadership roles with Fort Wayne United FC, Fort Wayne Fever, and Fort Wayne FC. His teams have captured multiple championships, including nine Indiana Boys State titles with Fort Wayne United and a 2023 Midwest Premier League Great Lakes Conference Championship with 1927 SC.

Potter also brings high-level playing experience to the Forester program, having competed at the NCAA Division I level at the University of Evansville before playing professionally for Tennessee Rhythm.

In addition to coaching, Potter is the co-owner and operations manager of HY2 Sports, a soccer training center. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Evansville and carries U.S. Soccer Federation B, C, and D coaching licenses.
