Forester Women post NAIA mark, runner-up finish at GVSU Big Meet

Allendale, Mich. – The Huntington University women's indoor track & field team competed Friday at the GVSU Big Meet inside the Laker Turf Building, highlighted by an NAIA B standard and PR in the 800m and a runner-up finish in the 5,000 meters.

The Foresters were led by Olivia Howell's NAIA B performance in the 800 meters and strong distance efforts from Molly Harding and Shaylynn Reyes, while the sprint and relay groups continued to trend upward against a deep field featuring NCAA Division II and NAIA competition.

HIGHLIGHTS

Olivia Howell clocked 2:14.91 in the 800 meters, earning an NAIA B standard.

Molly Harding finished second overall in the 5,000 meters with a time of 17:48.61.

Shaylynn Reyes added a top-five finish in the 5,000 meters, placing fourth in 18:17.76.

Trysta Hilton and Saniya Brinkley both ran sub-60 performances in the 400 meters.
