(RV) HU Takes Second, Places Three in Top 10 at Midway

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The #RV Huntington women's golf team turned in a strong, steady performance at the Midway Eagle Invitational, finishing 2nd out of six teams with a two-round score of 679 (+103). The Foresters carded a 339 on Monday and followed it up with a 340 on Tuesday at the University Club of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky.

Huntington leaned on a balanced lineup that featured three top-10 finishes, led by Magnolia Miller who tied for 5th overall at 166 (+22). Miller opened with an 81 and followed with an 85 to pace the Foresters.

Right behind her, Grace Dill finished tied for 8th at 167 (+23), trimming a stroke off her opening-round 84 with an 83 on day two. Riley Kitson also cracked the top 10, placing 10th with a two-day total of 168 (+24) after rounds of 83 and 85.

Aniyah Copeland added a 15th-place finish at 178 (+34), while Madelyn Weaver rounded out the scoring five, tying for 19th at 184 (+40).

As a team, the Foresters were consistent across both rounds, holding their ground in second place throughout the event. Host Midway claimed the team title at 665 (+89), while HU comfortably finished ahead of third-place Saint Mary-of-the-Woods (690). Rounding out the team scores were IU Southeast (743) and Mount Vernon (756).

Next up for HU is the Music City Classic, scheduled for April 13-14 at Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, Tennessee.
