Huntington Adds National Qualifiers in Final Tune-Up

HILLSDALE, Mich./JOLIET, Ill. - As the clock winds down before the 2026 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, several members of the Huntington University track & field team made one final push for qualifying marks at a pair of last chance meets this week.

Five Foresters competed Wednesday at the Hillsdale Last Chance meet where Celestin Trambloy turned in a breakthrough performance in the 400-meter hurdles. The sophomore raced to a time of 53.14 to hit the NAIA B standard and secure his spot at nationals. Anna Jeannin also punched her ticket to Asheville by clearing 1.68 meters in the high jump, good for an NAIA B standard qualification.

A larger contingent wrapped up the week Friday and Saturday at the Fighting Last Chance meet hosted by the University of St. Francis (Ill.). There, Trysta Hilton added her name to the national qualifier list after clocking a provisional mark of 1:02.73 in the 400-meter hurdles.

The 2026 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships are scheduled for May 20-22 at UNC Asheville's Karl Straus Track in Asheville.
