Farinha tabbed CL Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Junior Jonathan Farinha brought home three wins from the Little State Championships over the weekend to be tabbed the Crossroads League Men's Track Athlete of the Week. He dominated sprints, topping the field in the 100-meters (10.53), 200-meters (21.24) and 4x400-meter relay.
Farinha (Arima, Trinidad & Tobago) helped HU automatically qualify for Nationals and set a new school record with a time of 3:12.87 in the 4x400. As a team, the Foresters racked up 74 points to finish fifth out of 17 teams with Farinha accounting for 22.5 of those points.
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 18 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 160 NAIA All-America honors and 567 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
