Forester men post qualifying marks and showcase depth across three meets 

Upland, Ind. / Indianapolis, Ind. / Allendale, Mich. – The Huntington University men's indoor track & field team split competition across three meets over the weekend, competing at the George Glass InvitationalCrossroads of America, and GVSU Bill Clinger Invitational. The Foresters delivered NAIA qualifying performances, event victories, and strong depth across sprints, middle distance, distance, and field events.

Huntington's middle distance and field athletes opened the weekend with solid performances. Sophomore Luis Flores placed sixth in the 600 meters (1:25.24). In the mile, sophomore Jaden Kropp led the way with a fifth-place finish (4:24.48). 

Freshman Caleb Farr highlighted the field events, finishing second in the pole vault after clearing 4.65m (15-3). In the throws, senior Aaron Thomas placed 18th in the shot put (11.84m) and added a sixth-place finish in the weight throw (15.38m). 

Crossroads of America - Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion – Indianapolis, Ind. 
The Crossroads of America meet produced the weekend's top performances, including multiple NAIA qualifying marks. Sophomore Jan Busam captured the 400 meters title in 47.68, hitting the NAIA A standard, and added a NAIA B mark in the 200 meters (21.49). 

Sophomore Jayden Williams delivered a standout run in the 600 meters, winning the event in 1:19.44, an NAIA A qualifying performance. Freshman Noah Wellington added a third-place finish in the 400 meters (47.97, NAIA B). 

The Foresters' 4 x 400 relay of Wellington, Hawkins Marihugh (So), Williams, and Busam placed second overall (3:14.82), meeting the automatic qualifying standard. 

In the field, sophomore Kharrington Terry claimed first place in the high jump, clearing 2.03m (6-7.75). 

GVSU Bill Clinger Invitational - hosted by Grand Valley State – Allendale, Mich. 
Graduate student Carter VanderMeer represented Huntington in the 3000 meters, posting a 9:15.24 against a deep NCAA Division I field at the Laker Turf Building.

LOOKING FORWARD 
The Foresters will continue the indoor season at Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan this weekend in the SVSU Jet's Pizza Invitational. 

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 18 intercollegiate sports for men and women.
