Bio

Jeff Newkirk returns to Huntington University this fall after several years away to serve in his 4th year as an assistant coach for the men’s and women’s bowling programs. His responsibilities include working with players on both the physical and mental aspects of the game, providing spiritual guidance, and assisting with recruiting efforts.

Newkirk brings 30+ years of experience in the bowling industry. As a competitor, he bowled collegiately for Vincennes University where he was a 1995 Academic All-American, and he went on to claim back-to-back Indiana Amateur Championships in 2000 and 2001.

Along with his playing career, Newkirk has nine years of coaching experience, having served as an assistant at his alma mater from 1997–2006.

A 1996 graduate of Vincennes with a degree in Bowling Industry Management and Public Relations, Newkirk currently works as the brand manager/online sales manager at Strikeforce Bowling. He and his wife Jamie live in Columbia City with their two children, Julian and Jaden.
