Bio
Jared Jauch enters his second season as head coach of the Huntington University men's basketball program after being promoted to the position in April 2025. A familiar face within Forester Athletics, Jauch spent five seasons on the coaching staff prior to his promotion, including serving as associate head coach.
Jauch's debut season at the helm was an impressive one as he guided the Foresters to a 22-9 record, highlighted by seven victories over Top 25 opponents. Under his leadership, Huntington continued its ascent among the NAIA's elite, securing the program's fifth consecutive NAIA National Tournament appearance and hosting the national opening round for the second straight year.
Success on the court has been accompanied by individual recognition. During Jauch's first season, three Foresters earned Crossroads League honors, including Kaden Johnson, who was named the 2026 Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Year. Johnson also became Jauch's first NAIA All-American as a head coach.
Known for his player development, recruiting acumen and commitment to the culture of the program, Jauch has played an integral role in establishing Huntington as one of the premier programs in the Crossroads League and NAIA.
Before arriving at Huntington, Jauch was a four-year member of the men's basketball program at Covenant College. A two-time team captain, he helped lead the Scots to a pair of USA South regular-season championships, including a program-record 16 conference wins during the 2018-19 season. Following a season-ending injury during his junior year, he gained valuable coaching experience as a student assistant.
Jauch's leadership extended beyond the hardwood, earning USA South All-Academic Team recognition three times during his collegiate career.
In addition to his coaching duties, Jauch serves as Huntington University's Coordinator of Athletic Engagement. He earned a bachelor's degree in Sports Administration from Covenant College and a master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Huntington University.
