This fall marks Chase Verba's third season back on the sidelines for the Forester basketball program. In addition to assisting with practices and in game strategies, Verba also helps with recruiting efforts and community and alumni relations.

A four-year starter for Coach Steve Platt, Verba was instrumental in Huntington's success in the early 2000s. He is one of only five Foresters in program history to play in four national tournaments which included an elite eight finish in 2003 and a national runner-up finish in 2006 where he was the recipient of the Champions of Character award.  

For his career, he racked up 1,211 points to currently sit 40th on HU's all-time scorer's list, in addition to corralling 785 rebounds. During his four-year stint in Forester green, he enjoyed 108 wins against just 34 losses, three conference championships and two All-Conference shout-outs. 

Following his storied Huntington basketball career, Verba served as an assistant for Coach Platt for two seasons before taking a break from coaching. Verba graduated from Huntington in May of 2006 with a BS in Business Management. He currently serves as the Vice President of Business Development with Marketing Diversified Services. He, his wife Krista, also an HU alum, and three sons reside in Huntington.
