HU’s Surge Continues as Wilson Collects Weekly Award

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Senior Keifer Wilson has been named the Crossroads League Baseball Player of the Week following his dominant performance in Huntington's four-game sweep of Indiana Wesleyan.

The Oakland City transfer was instrumental in the Foresters' league-opening shutout of the Wildcats, collecting nine hits across the series while batting a scorching .563. Wilson tallied two doubles and a home run and drove in seven runs to anchor an offense that stayed red-hot all weekend.

Time and again, the senior delivered in key moments, setting the tone at the plate and helping Huntington complete the series sweep in convincing fashion.

Wilson's standout weekend is part of a larger surge for the Foresters, who have now won 12 straight contests. Huntington sits at 14-1 overall and will return to Forest Glen this weekend for a four-game showdown against No. 9 Taylor.
