Foresters Reload with Historic Recruiting Class
HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Head coach Thad Frame and the Huntington University baseball program are gearing up for an exciting 2025-26 season, bolstered by a strong core of returners and what is arguably the top high school recruiting class in program history.
The incoming class features six standouts from the 2025 IHSAA Indiana North/South All-Star roster, marking the highest number of Indiana All-Stars added to the Forester roster in a single year.
"We're thrilled about the group we have coming in," said Frame. "Not only are they high-level competitors, but they also bring strong character and a great work ethic to our program. This class has the potential to make an immediate impact and elevate our team in all phases of the game."
The six Indiana All-Stars joining the Foresters include:
- Johnnie Ankenbruck, Homestead High School
Catcher - Max Engle, Westview High School
Left-Handed Pitcher - Cohen Heady, Warsaw Community High School
Catcher - Kai Newman, Lapel High School
Left-Handed Pitcher - Tanner Reinartz, Rochester High School
Infielder - Aiden Riser, McCutcheon High School
Outfielder / Right-Handed Pitcher
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 18 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 181 NAIA All-America honors and 631 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
