Pelletier headlines Huntington’s postseason award winners

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The Crossroads League announced its postseason baseball honors with Huntington celebrating five Foresters who received conference recognition for their outstanding play during the 2025 season.
 
Zach Pelletier, a sophomore catcher from Penn High School, was named First Team All-League after emerging as one of the most impactful backstops in the league. Pelletier posted a .308 batting average with 46 hits, including 11 doubles and six home runs. He led the team with a .455 on-base percentage, drawing 24 walks and being hit by pitch 17 times. Defensively, he was a force behind the plate, recording 362 putouts with just five errors and throwing out 16 would-be base stealers for a .750 stolen base against percentage. He also turned six double plays and drove in 28 runs.
 
Senior Beldon Glasgow, a transfer from Purdue Northwest, was named the Second Team third baseman. Glasgow led the team with 47 hits and delivered power at the plate with 13 home runs, fourth most in the league, 11 doubles and two triples. He scored 38 runs, drove in 47, eighth in the league, and posted a .627 slugging percentage with 101 total bases. On defense, he recorded 69 assists, 43 putouts and turned seven double plays.
 
Another senior, Cam Clarkson of Louisville, Ky., was selected as the Second Team designated hitter. Clarkson led the team in batting average at .343, 12th in the league, while recording 46 hits, 17 of which went for extra bases including six home runs. He tallied 32 RBI, drew 21 walks and scored 24 runs.
 
On the mound, Grant Simmons, a senior right-hander, earned Second Team honors. Simmons wrapped up his final season with a 6-1 record and a 4.77 ERA, ranking 11th in the league. Over 54.2 innings, he gave up 51 hits and struck out 60 batters, posting a .255 opponent batting average and a WHIP of 1.48. His 9.88 strikeouts per nine innings placed him ninth among league pitchers.
 
Sophomore RJ Anglin earned Gold Glove recognition for his flawless fielding on the mound. In 68.2 innings, Anglin did not commit a single error, finishing with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. He also threw out seven base runners attempting to steal.
 
The Foresters wrapped up their 2025 campaign with an overall record of 26-26.
 
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 18 intercollegiate sports for men and women.
