COVID-19 SPECTATOR PROTOCOL

The Huntington University athletic department has announced its 2020-21 plans for spectator attendance at home basketball games. These guidelines have been put in place to maximize the safety and well-being of all attendees, including student-athletes, officials, staff and spectators.
The protocols outlined below affect Huntington home athletic events for the winter of 2020-21. These guidelines take place immediately and will be reviewed periodically as circumstances warrant.
Forester fans wanting to attend an away game should verify the fan attendance policy on that school’s website or the Crossroads League’s website (www.crossroadsleague.com/cl-covid19-information) prior to traveling.
A list of frequently asked questions appears at the bottom of this release and will be available on the HU athletic website at www.huathletics.com/basketball-fan-policy.
Home basketball games will be streamed online free of charge on HU’s YouTube channel.
WHO CAN ATTEND HOME BASKETBALL GAMES
Each participating HU student-athlete will be allotted two complimentary tickets which can be distributed to family members while a limited number of tickets will be designated for HU students, faculty and staff.
Huntington will not allow fans from visiting schools or community members to attend basketball contests at Huntington.
HU has partnered with HomeTown Ticketing to provide electronic ticketing. Attendees must register for an electronic ticket in advance of the contest. Tickets can be printed at home or scanned from a mobile device at the gate.
Tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis at www.huathletics.com/ticketing. While tickets will not be available at the door, attendees can secure an online ticket up until 30 minutes into the start of the contest.
In addition to presenting a ticket, attendees will also be required to show ID to gain admittance to the contest.
COVID-19 POLICIES FOR SPECTATORS
All spectators are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing at all times while attending HU home games.
All spectators will be screened for COVID symptoms and have their temperature taken upon entering the facility. Spectators who are experiencing any COVID symptoms or who have been exposed to someone who tested positive within the previous 14 days should not come to the game.
Following the contest, all spectators will be asked to immediately vacate the venue to avoid congregating with team members and other spectators.
Concessions will not be available, and no food or drink will be permitted in Platt Arena.
Doors open 30 minutes prior to the posted game time.

Can I use a season pass?
No – you must secure an electronic ticket for each game you plan to attend.
Will I be able to obtain a ticket at the gate before the game?
No - tickets will not be available at the gate but attendees can secure an online ticket up until 30 minutes into the start of a contest.
